I tip my hat to you mreed, not a week before you started this post was I investigating a different AC set-up and was floored by the cost. for around $70 I have my "custom" set up. Thank you!

I am not ashamed to admit that I am a "designer jeans" type.

Next up is to study the latest Mreed tip and get rid of the tube and filter and go with vented breather bolts. cant wait.

I thinking about doing this If I can get the parts...and was just wondering how the carb mates to the back of the airfilter plate,Is there a gasket to keep It air tight?

Yeah. The gasket comes with the carb mount. I don't use one though. It's a damn tight mount.

I got my carb mount in the mail today, but that's all it came with. No breather kit. I should be able to just get all the parts and make it myself, right? Like, the tubes and filters and hose clamps?

Yeah. I don't use the breather kits that are in the kits. I drill a hole through a 1/2-13 pair of bolts and tap the hex head side to 1/8 npt and from there you can simply thread in a breather vent or use a fitting for copper line if you want to route it somewhere else.
