Awesome detective work. But the color is off. The one pictured on the bike has orange background, the ebay listing looks pale yellow. I wonder if he painted it. thanks for looking.

 

it's a 60s plate. 63ish. too new for a 48

 

48 is the year HD stole and used the design from the Germans after the War. The tank design was used through the 90s'.
