Default Kickstand Extension for Sportsters

Okay,

I am short 5 foot 1 inch and that is why I decided to buy the SuperLow and get the super reach seat. I have a 30 inch inseam and wear a 6 to 6-1/2 size shoe. I did purchase some Dr. Boot mini floorboards. Now before installing the floorboards I had problems reaching the kickstand. Went to a dealer today to buy the Jiffy Kickstand Extension. Long story short. They are a real joke. No benefit at all. Asking $40 for this product.

My question: Are there any other kickstand extensions out there for a Sportster? If not, my brother-in-law plans to get one machined for me. We designed one that will allow a short person to easily reach the kickstand. But I would love to find something already out there. Any recommendations?

Your better off having your BIL have one made for you. There are some longer than the Jiffy you saw but none of them are a quality piece in my opinion. Hell you can have someone just weld some round stock on your kickstand to get you by.

Any way you dice it at least yours would be a custom piece.

I have the HD extention on my XL50 and love it-works great, but I also have forward controls. I don't have an extention on the C and think i'm going to get one this year as they stock stand is hard to get out at first. I think the issue is the floor borads and mids.

Quick and cheap. 3/8-24 X 2" hex head bolt (longer bolt if necessary) w/nut and washers. 3/8" I.D. rubber grommet from auto parts store. Silicone adhesive and 3/8" thread protector. Works for me. Good luck.

The MAIN issue lies within this frame design. It's too tall of a bike for anyone under 5'9".

I never really thought about it, but that looks pretty handy. Thanks for the idea.

Nice. May work. Will try it out.

Thanks to all who posted a response. I will try the one suggestion but stay tuned, my BIL may come up with a winner for easy reach with floorboards!
