Kuryakyn ISO grips will help with the vibration, but I think higher bars will help as well. Tell her not to murder the grips. My wife does the same and does not get it. I keep telling her to just lightly hold on, but she has trouble with that.

She could try: QWI riding gloves, they have gel pads.

i read an article in one of the bike mags a number of years ago that said 8 out of 10 times tingling is due to a death grip, people dont realize they are holding on so tight
and once they learn to loosen the grip just a bit it all goes away.

I love the tingling sensation...I believe in some circles, it's a commodity and they refer it to as the stranger?

Purchase and instal Kuryakyn Iso grips to eliminate the tingle. Been using them for years..HD Grips suck.

As all the responses indicate, this is a common problem. And as they also indicate, there are lots of reasons for it and lots of possible solutions. I'll pile on - as a bicycle racer I have discovered that it can also be caused simply by having too much weight on the hands - and the default position on my Sporty had me leaning far enough over that my hands were getting numb, too. I rotated the stock bars as far as I could, and it helped, but not enough. So I changed to the 12" mini apes, rotated them back, and viola! no more hand pain.

Something not discussed yet (that I saw) - if she's got a deathgrip on the bars, the feeling that usually causes that - feeling like you're getting blown off the bike, can be seriously alleviated with a windshield.
