Unhappy 08 nightster question

I washed my bike today, got done, was gonna take it for a spin and wouldn't start. First time it's done it since I've owned it new in July of 08.

I put the key in and the red key indicator light stays on and turn signals flash like they do when you move it without the key in it. Hit the start button and nothing.

Everything else works, horn, high beams, low beams, etc.

Wondering what it could be...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Check the battery in your key-fob.

yeah, turn sigs flashing mean the security is not sensing the fob.

Busabus36. Check your fuse-block. I bought an '08 XLN in April of '08 and within three months went through two wiring harnesses, a stator, and an ECM. In Arizona it's dry, in Florida it's not. Even washing the bike will corrode the fuse-block.

Keep the fuse-block greased and you'll have no problems, don't, and sooner or later you'll start getting the battery drains in 4 hours thing....If you have a bunch of white colored, flour looking stuff all over your fuses......Harley IS aware of this problem.
