I havent even taken delivery of my 48 yet (long story)....but I have a new tank being sent to me (awsome flames) and will be installed the day I take delivery of the bike. That is how much I dislike the factory graphics.

Very nice tank...My tank was the first thing to go. I took a little bit of a different approach and put a 3.3 on it and a 3d tank cover. It's winter in MI and the bike is in the shop getting more mods done and paint work done on the tins.

Nightster tank isnt too bad...but the cover is a bit too....dominatrix-like. Each his own I suppose.

Thanks. Yes, it is a HD adapter kit and it is peel and stick. The actual tank badge is then held down to the adaptor by two small screws.
I haven't stuck it down yet...too cold in my garage right now. I just temporarily mocked it up with a little tack putty.
The badge and adapter kit can be bent. You can massage them easily to the tank contour.

Looks good, but the "48" badge Michael posted is a great idea tho if you can find them.

My only real complaint about the motorcycle is the stock paint scheme on the tank. I think something a more subtle, or, more of a throw back toward the 1940s would be a much better fit.

I totally agree, Chris. No offense to the Sportster line, but I don't think the branding should be on the Nightster or the 48. Just my opinion.

I couldn't stand the gigantic factory sticker either...
That color was popular back around '00, and HD called it "Bronze Pearl". It's the color I picked.....Or atleast it looks almost identical from here. Nice choice.
