I switched from a 3/4 to FF helmet, made a world of difference. The wind blast with the 3/4 was ridiculous on the freeway. Now, it's much, much more pleasurable to ride. Also, my buddy crashed with a 3/4 helmet, lost a front tooth and hamburgered his face. I don't like earplugs, never have. Same as headphones. I think they are unsafe, JMHO. I want all my senses unobstructed when I'm on my bike, no distractions like music, either.
