Cool thanks guys for all the ideas. I thought about a cable lock but I dont have like carrying a bunch of crap with out saddlebags yet.

I will look into a gun lock, that sounds like a great idea and very creative.

I usually dont lock my helmet just set it on the seat or hang it on turn signal when it is just me. When I have the wife we put them on the sissybar but she is still paranoid.

Thanks again got me thinking of somethings to try out.

I do the same. I had several of the worthless gun locks laying around because they were mandatory to be included when a firearm is purchased. They get a ton of use now for my helmet as they are small, fit in my pocket, slip right through the chin strap and around the brake line. To get the helmet they would have to destroy my bike or the chin strap.

Its a good way to deter the ****** n grab types. If I'm in a bad area or going to be gone an extended period the helmet goes with me.

Aren't handcuff keys universal? Meaning if I buy a set can't my key work on your handcuffs?

Well, yes and no. There are three different key cuts. If one possesses all three keys they could open any handcuff produced (other than some 1800's model found on Pawn Stars, or something).

This company offers many different options. http://www.lockitt.com/accessories_helmet_holders.htm

I use the Helmet Guardian that mounts behind the license plate and is set up to hold two helmets.
