They only have trannys that fit years from 1991- 2003. and $2600 just for the tranny in a box.

I've had Bakers in the past. Not the 6 speed and not in a sporty but the trans is night and day nicer than stock. Smooth shifts and always find N. I will be doing another in my FLSTCI soon, well, that is as soon as I can get finished with the other mods.

I have never rode one with the Baker trans. I love 6-speeds, but for that amount of money I will be just fine with 5-speeds.

I have ridden 96"ers with the Baker 6 in it. They are nice to have, more gears = more fun... $2000 worth though- I dunno. That is a lot of custom paint and add on toys, IMO. Unless you just ran across a sick deal on one, I would pass and use the loot for some more appreciatable mods. Just my stupid $.02 worth.

Go Up 2 teeth on the front sprocket and save $1900 bucks,,,,

I got Power all over the tach,,,
not as much shifting XD

My 2008 sportster 1200C came with the 6 speed tranny stock. Its like having overdrive, i shift into 6th around 55-60 mph. To be honest its my first Harley so i cant compare it to a 5 speed.
It certainly would save on fuel consumption on long cruises.
