Mine came with one of the mounts I used and then I made a second one. The older sporties had a bracket on the bottom side of the handle bars that the signal originally mounted to, and I just moved it to the tree pinch bolt. I then fabed up a second bracket for the other side. However, these same brackets can be found on Ebay for like $8.......

Oh, and I've since switched from those larger turn signals to smaller bullet style signals found on todays sporties.

+1 on the Drag Specialties Kit. Much more streamlined.

I have the HD kit and they do stick out farther than i would like.

If you go that way do not follow the wiring instructions !

You have to extend the wires like 12 "

If you snake the harnesses out you have to shorten them like 8" but it looks much better.

Question

I've been looking at these relocation kits for sometime now. Anyone have the HD engine guard (49060-04) installed with a signal relocation kit? Just from eyeballing, it looks like some kits would stick out too far and hit the engine guard when the bike is on its side stand with bars turned all the way.

Default Snake the wire?

Hey,
Couple questions..
How did you snake the wire? Did you cut it from the turn signal assembly before you pulled it? if s where did you hide the splice?

According to the service manual, I should pull the tank to get at the connectors at the harness to and then re-route the wires

Check out this recent thread. There are various options but the how-to is using the relocation kits for the lower triple tree.
https://www.hdforums.com/forum/sports...ion-kit-5.html

Used drag specialties relo mounts.
