Saw a couple of touring bikes fly past me (I was going 80) on a highway back when it was just getting too cold to ride, tried to catch up just to see how fast they were going, and at ~100, i wasnt even maintaining with them, they were still pulling away, so I slowed down.
Bikes Rpm/Mph says itll top out @ 129 @6K rpm.
That said, the sporty is best to me on its 20-70 range, thats where the fun is

Bought an 883 this afternoon but bored with it already. Its loud and shiny, which i like but the power is barely adequate. 50 hp is less than half my last bike.hp Converting to 1250 asap. Or buying Triumph Daytona.
I bought an 883 this afternoon but I'm bored with it already . 50hp is nearly a third of my last bike. Intending to install 1250 and screaming Eagle 1. Then bob it. Wouldn't mind abs as well.

Which Sportster model are you referring to?
The XL883N and XL883R, have a 3.3 US gallon (12.5 litre) tank.
The XL883L and XL883C, have a 4.5 US gallon (17 litre) tank.
If you want a more powerful Sportster, an XR1200 with 91 HP would have been a better option, I bought my 2009 XR1200 a couple of months ago for £4800, ($9300 AUD).

Yes, the seat is rather taller than my Iron 883. I have a pair of cowboy boots with Cuban heels that help me to be flat footed when astride my XR, I'm considering installing shorter piggyback style rear shocks which will lower the seat height a bit.
A friend just happened to be selling the right Sportster at the right price for me to buy. The insurance for my XL883N is £131, it is £256 for the XR1200.
I have another friend who is buying my 883 as soon as he sells his 2017 Moto Guzzi California 1400, he's now 71 years old and the Guzzi is getting too heavy for him to handle around the city streets.
