Default 09 Sportster 1200C rear wheel question

I have an 09 XL 1200C with a mag rear wheel. I want to buy a spoked rear wheel and I know my stock rim is 16 x 3, but what size axle do I have? Thanks for anyones help!

Is there a best place online to buy a spoked rear wheel for my XL?

have to say that i am a detail nut... but-
those spoked wheels are the biggest pia that i know of!
i suggest that you live with the wheel for a few months before you decide to change it out.
sorry, but i dont have the answer to your question- someone will !

the chrome pits continuously... when they are cleaned up they look fantastic. but you have to polish each spoke and that takes longer than detailing the rest of the entire bike!
if you have them on the front, live with the wheels for a few months and i think you will understand. just maybe you will not have the problems that i have had (pitting and rust on the chrome spokes- thats what takes so much time).

My spoked front is on the way out in a day or two. Powder-coated cast wheel is the replacement and I will be happy to see the spokes go.

My XL50 has laced wheels front and rear and I have to say I like the solid wheel on my 08 C. I say leave the wheel and spend the time and money on better mods. The laced wheels are alot harder to clean, have to have a new tube and wheel band every time you have the tire replaced.

There are a few places to look on the web for a spoked rear wheel. Try JP Cycles or hdwheels.com. As for the maintenance - I have an 08 1200c and use a polish called Wenol on my front spokes. One application every 12 months and I have had no rust or pitting.
