Default jiffy spring fixed thanks for tips

hello there i posted last week about my jiffy stand spring falling off , well i got a new spring and washers and did the repair today , thanks too the penny trick tip it took only 10 minutes and went really smoothly both washers were trashed , so i replaced both lubed up everything reassembled and the spring went on in a snap with about 6 pennies in the coils , pulled them out and all done . many thanks too all who helped .

agree that the folks on this board are great... many of my mods were helped with info from here (even got several parts from guys here). i didnt have an answer to your original post so i didnt respond, and i am glad that someone had the answer!

The penny and dime trick worked like a charm! It took a few more than 6 but maybe that's because it's a fatboy Lo. The spring went on great with the jiffy stand up and when I put it down and put the weight of the bike on it the pennies and dimes fell right out! Thanks for the tips guys!

I guess I missed something...penny & dime trick for the jiffy stand? Ok...what gives. I have a 07 SG, ran over a dead racoon last fall & it "unhooked" the spring from the frame! I got it back on with help from a friendly biker riding by...but it never been the same. Jiffy stand hangs low. Anyone offer some suggestions? Thanks, Tom
