I cant figure out how you guys get the front brake line to fit. Mine isn't tight, it's just WAY to short to even attempt screwing it into place. So I'm gonna tie the line up and bring it to a bike mechanic I know to install a new front brake line.

The clip ons look GREAT, only problem is now the speedo looks horrible up there in the middle of nowhere. The dummy lights for the RSD mount will be available on the 8th, so in a couple of weeks this project should be finished.

Thanks again for the help guys.
freaking sweet john!

You will need some sort of lift. Could do something like this I suppose...

a) remove or raise tank
b)undo and remove steering head bolt
c)Knock up top tee with a wooden mallett
d)Install clip ons
e)replace top tee
f)replace steering head bolt
g)replace tank

RIDE IT.

ok I already have the three bolts that seem to clamp the triple clamp on and I was just out there looking at it wondering if i had to undo that head bolt... (Im guessing thats the big nut directly in front of the tank).

Hi,

I also have no lift. So you say that removing the center bolt, and loosing the shock bolts on the top tree will allow to raise / remove the upper part of the tree?
