[quote=rickss69;9058291]Is this what you guys are referring to?

i have this on my 09 883. it does the same thing as the xieds but you have to tune it yourself with the four little dials under the cover. also it plugs in between the injectors instead of the o2 censors

Adding a S&S AC and D&D Bobcat...figured it would'nt hurt. I mostly want the motor to run a little cooler in my case, but the availability of some adjustment is appealling too.

I am running the x14ied's on an 883 with cycle shacks and an open K&N filter. No heat issue, runs good. No hesitation like they all have with the stock map.

Could it be better with a tuner? Yes, I am sure it could.

Thanks !!
I contacted the Nightrider company, and they were helpful in picking the right ones for my bike, Shortshots and air filter. I haven't changed my air filter yet, I just put 6 X 1.25'' holes in the back of the housing, but plan on a free flowing one in the future. I do not plan on going 1200, or cams or anything in the near future. I put the XIED's on today, and from what I can tell, it smoothed things out a lot, although it really wasn't too bad to begin with. These give you a fixed 13.8:1 AFR. My fuel mileage may or may not change, I'm not too concerned about that. Just wanted to fatten up the mixture a bit.

Thanks for the info!.. yeah... I just realized that I gave my stock pipes away and I forgot to remove the stock O2 sensors... damn, what a dummy.... I wonder if somebody has them and want to sell them to me..

So it basically fools the system into thinking it is lean by screwing with the output from the O2 sensor and thus the ECM will enrich the fuel by increasing the pulse width?
