First (1000 mile) service question
Is it normal for HD to charge $265 for the first service? My jaw dropped when I heard this.
Also, doesn't look like I'll be able to get the service done before my road trip to Orlando this weekend, and I'll be going over my 1000 mile mark. How much can you typically go over before the stealer starts having a problem with it (i.e. for warranty and extended warranty purposes).

Ditto, with the manual there's lots you can do on your own - even if you're only half-azz mechanically inclined. Best way is to purchase one on line, you can down load it, save it to your desktop, quick reference at your fingertips. It's like a trazillion pages so I usually just print what I'm working on, take it in the garage and then keep it in a folder when I'm done.

Harley rip off
In the metro St. Louis, Mo area it costs
.$340 average. My husband bought a
motorcycle table lift from Harbor Freight
for $250 (on sale) a manual from Harley
and oil & filter from Ams Oil, all for just
under $340 and my husband now has a
great motorcycle lift.. Now he can service
both his Fat Boy and my 48 and he don't
have to lay on the garage floor to do it...
