Sportster is entry level budget bike

I hear it all the time, here in the Sportster forum. In the real life I very, very seldom hear anything like that. It's just here, in this forum where I see it so often.
Sounds like a bunch of very insecure people here quite often, needing validation that they bought the right bike.

My brother owns a Fatboy and i drove it and it feels too big for my opinion...dont take my comments in a bad way the fatboy its a land yacht but for me its lack of sportiness!

It happened to me at a gas stop by a bagger in front of his real bike friends. Me and my chicks bike called him out infront of his buds and after rode back to the gas stop to hear him tell his buds why a little chick bike handed him is azz. I wasn't the only one laughin. Thats why I bought and ride mine.

I've had my 1200 Sportster over 2 years now. I get harassed some from the other ladies in our group for riding a beginner's bike. I may want a bigger bike some day, but for now I am loving my Sporty. Many times on group rides I'll catch a guy looking over my bike, whether its another biker or someone at the gas station. I say if a guy wants to ride a Sporty, then why not. It's a classic eye catcher.

For Harley the Sportster is an entry level bike. It's the smallest and cheapest bike they make. That's what entry-level means. It's what gets you in the door to their products. If you get your feelings hurt cuz somebody calls it that, then you must be rather insecure. An "entry-level" Porsche is still a Porsche.
