Default Bike tipped yesterday

So my iron was parked yesterday and some minivan backs into my bike,.. I saw the minivan backing into it.. I run back trying to tell the driver to stop but it was too late.. It falls on it's right side I go to pick it up and expect the worst.. Lucky me not a scratch on the body.. Just a minor scratch on the exhaust and another on the crash bar(which I was thinking about taking it off).. I'm so lucky!! Oh yeah minivan now has a dented in rear bumper

Sounds like you got off pretty lucky. I can't believe how much people don't pay attention.

I would've called the cops on him so he would get a ticket, that's if it happen on a public street.

My crash bars saved my motorcycle from damage a few times.

you should still claim insurance and get some new pipes out of it. scratch equals damage, and im sorry but around here we call vans "car killers" so i guess now it includes motorcycles too lol.

My bet is that phone call would be a total waste of your time....I doubt if they would issue a ticket for such a simple accident. They probably wouldn't even do an accident report. At least where I live, if the accident causes less than $1500 worth of damage and has no injuries it is non-reportable....It's all a civil matter. Just exchange info and move on.

^^^ What he said. Not really a big deal, and the police would likely not issue a ticket for a small fender bender sort of deal. Glad you were not hurt and the bike was okay.
