Default Clip on handle bars and forward controls

I'm thinking about putting on either drag bars or clip ons on my '05 1200C with forward controls.
I'm 5'6" in your opinion will this be too uncomfortable?
Thanks in advance for your comments

Forward controls on a sportster are not that far forward, so it depends on the seat and just how much you have to lean to reach the bars.. I'm 5'9" and have sat on an 883 set up that way and it seemed pretty comfortable..

Mine right now has forward controls, standard low bars, and a mustang seat with back rest.. If I put drag bars on I probably would not getting support from the back rest anymore.

I have drag bars and fwd's on my 08 and it's ok. But I have clip-ons on my 93 and with forwards it sucked completely. I'm 5' 8".

Hig4s,
Interesting thought about the back support or lack of.
MReed,
I was checking out your bikes earlier, very nice. thanks for your input about the differences between the 2. I think I will stick with the drag bars then.
Thanks

I am running clip-on's, but I am using mids. I like the feeling of being "in" the bike and the way it handles with this setup. I don't think you would get the same effect with forwards and clips. IMO.

Motordrum like you said "I like the feeling of being 'in' the bike" that's what I'm looking for. I think since I have forward controls I will be too extended. Thanks for posting the pic
