Default 20 -50 wt oil??

Hello from Scullville,NJ. I'm running 20-50 in my 71 iron head.Also in the primary.Any thoughts or opinions on the 20-50?Good choice???
I'm new to the group by the way.My name is Jim.

Welcome to the forum.20w50 is the right oil. I use ATF in primary,it just works better for me.

Please ignore this advice. The poster either doesn't know he's in the Sporty section, or doesn't know that Sporties have a shared primary/tranny.

You might find 20/60 is quieter in your 71.

FWIW I run Valvoline SAE50 (a straight 50wt) in both holes of my 75 ironhead

im just over in PA so I experience much the same tempature changes etc that you do

but if the 20-50 works for you run it...there's nothing wrong with it
