I am looking at finally getting new tires for my 06 883 Sportster. Let me hear about the tires on your sporties and why you chose them please. Thanks

If you search for "new tires", in the Sportster section you will find enough reading material to keep you busy for quite a while. But, nowhere will you find a concensus as to which tires are the best. Each person has different tastes, styles of riding, and bank accounts.

It depends on your riding style, pavement conditions in your usual routes, how often you want to change them, etc. You have to tell us what you want in order for us to be able to give you a good answer. Of course, there still won't be a consensus...

Ive heard good things about Avon. My next tire will probably be the Avon Gangster WW. Thats If I get approved for the loan for them. Damn tires are $240 or so each!

May just go with some dunlops, etc.

Most sites that sell tires will have reviews. Most are HD riders. Check the reviews.

I've rocked avons for a long time...just recently switched back to the stocker harley tire on the rear cause i was on the road and got a flat so i had no other option...Avon tires are by far the most superior tire i've ever ridin on...i got about 10k out of the rear and 11k out of the front...they grab the road tough as ***** and are perfect IMO for a moderate to light bike like a sporty. my bagger buddies love their metzlers

Metzler ME880's, they put the stock Dunflops to shame when it comes to handling and mileage. I've been through several sets and they give me a consistent 15K miles on the rear and 25K+ on the front. That's about 50% better mileage than I got on the Dunflops.
