Default Hi To Everyone

It's official. We just bought a new Sportster 883 XL this afternoon.

Haven't learned how to ride yet but that comes with classes next year. Dealership gave us a decent price. He beat the best offer we got so far so we bought it. It will be delivered next week. Two tone model. Birch White and Sedona Orange. Got it for $200 below MSRP, Rider classes for 2, 2 up seat and we keep the old one and an engine guard and a battery tender.

Can't wait to get learning

This is a bike for the wife and I to learn on. Should she decide to ride herself, we can get me a different bike after I learn. If not, we can probably ride 2 up if I like it.

Any comments on how we did financially? Did we get took?

LOL, funny think about the Super Low is - I'm 5'8" and it's still hard for me to get my feet flat down. They should just call it the 'Super'. haha

Sorry. Too Excited. Right now, it is still at the dealership being worked on. It needs to have the engine guard, seat and IIRC, battery tender installed and to be delivered.

Currently in Hartford WI.

Yes, it is the Super Low. Supposedly the rake change helps the low speed steering and the front tire is shorter and wider, I think

Congrats on the new bike.

I also took the MFA course and it was a great experience. I learned on small bikes (250cc). When I took possession of my first bike (883c), it was a shocker. At first I was intimidated by the power but for some reason I couldnt stop smiling. It was an adrenaline rush. It takes practice to get used to it.

Now I am riding a Dyna Street Bob and I feel comfortable with it. I have only been riding for two years and I just know that I should have bought a motorcycle six years ago.

I think you did really good on the price and on the accessories you got from the dealer.
