Default 2 up with burly slammer kit

like the look of the bike lowered, but can i ride 2 up without bottoming out with a burly slammer kit on my custom? alternative question: how low can i go without bottoming out? or is it more a function of shock stiffness?

Its simple,,Hit a 2" bump with 1.6" suspension travel,,,
well lets just say when you get older your gonna remember that ride.
Good progressive suspension works, selecting the proper spring rate is key.
People do get good rides on "Low" slammed bikes.
Go to the Progressive suspension site,,they have spring rate charts to look at.

You will need a heavy duty shock or you will bottom out. The springs need to be rated for a heavier load.

I used too clamps to compress the rear shocks down to see what the bike would look like with burleys 10.5 rear shocks, was amazed just how near to rear fender came to the wheel. Not only the flat area of the fender but the sides too.
I'm truly scared about bottoming out if I got these. No way I would ride two up.
(with that said I bet loads ride two up with them)

yeah 2 up with the burly slammers probably not the way to go. i looked at the progressive 412 HDs in 11". i'm riding the stock shocks set at 4 and they're fine though no real distance 2 up. I was looking to change the look by lowering it more than anything else. Guess i'll stay status quo for right now.

Man these bike look great slammed. I'm thinking the 11's are the way to go too, only down Side is they cost sooooo much more than burly's.
I know, I know, I know, you get what you pay for (before someone else puts it up)
If you do get them don't forget to update with a pic
