Hey All, here are some pics of my new to me nightster with mini apes? I was not a big fan of the look, but they seem comfortable on rides. I am thinking of going to the lower bar look with some 48 bars that are also more narrow.
Probably the last time the bike will be whole for a while, needs air cleaner, exhaust pipe change, derby cover powder coat, drop mirrors, move front turn signals, speedo relocate, new shocks, new grips, tank lift, and the list goes on.
By the way what is the part number for the top clamp with the lights in it, the one needed to do the speedo relocate?
I think if i get all the crap off the bars, turn signals, mirrors it will look better to me.

Go with bigger apes.

16 or so. It looks really good.

I hate the look of drag bars. If my bike had everything it does now but drags I would of walked away from deal.

keep those . They look good. Or bigger of course.

I love apes...but I think the nightsters look kickass with the clipons or low bars.

 

Yeah, Nubz dont really like the look, but they feel pretty good. Thats why I'm undecided.
I will probably bolt up some 48 bars while i have it torn apart and then decide.
I never thought apes could be comfortable, but i was wrong. First time for everything.

 

I think it looks pretty good, however if you don't like how it looks but like how it feels try the z bar apes. They look badass but have the feel of apes. I am gonna put them on my next bike.

 

it's all about what you think looks and feels good . none of the rest of us are gonna ride your bike or help you pay for the mods you do , so make sure you're happy with it

btw , mini apes on a sportster look very cool . short Z bars are good too , maybe with 4" or 6" rise , not too tall

 

I had 16 inch apes on my softail and they looked great but I do 300+ miles in a day sometimes now and my beach bars are much more comfortable for long hauls.

 

apes on a small bike look stupid ,makes it look even smaller, then add a sissy bar and its off the charts stupid
