If they're installed to improve ergonomics and steering control then they are cool. If they are installed for other reasons then they are kinda stupid in my optinion.

 

I'm old school, i like drags. I used to think that they looked stupid when I got back into Harleys couple of years ago. I think they are starting to look pretty cool now. I believe in it's what you want, but they are definitely growing on me.

 

Pagan, I will put my backrest on and take a picture when I get home so you don't feel like the black sheep in this thread. That said, I prefer apes for comfort and looks. Never understood the drag/clip-on fascination with a bike that can barely keep up with the smaller displacement metrics. I ride to have fun and be comfortable.

 

answer this question: are they comfortable

if yes = leave them
if no = replace them

if maybe= have custom set made.. and it just so happens... i got a guy

Personally in my opinion(and I know this will make people mad) I think apes look gayer than Queer eye for the straight guy with a 3 dollar bill! I can't stand'em!!!! I hate how they look and bigger apes make your bike look shorter to me! I personally like drag bars especially on a Sportster because it makes the bike look mean,fast and sleaker not like some half breed Jackalope or something!

Umm, apes will always reduce steering control. You have more leverage when your arms are lower then chest level. Raise them above your chest and your leverage reduces.

In my opinion, the only reason to have apes on your bike is so you don't have to wear deodorant. Just blow dry your pits.

i have 14 in on mine and love them.and i know it's my opinion but i think drag bars are gay
