I had a few people try to dog me for having a Sporty before I went to my Shovelhead and 95% or more of the time when I ask what kind of bike they owned they didn't even own a bike. And I left it at that. Mine wasn't a new Sporty it was a 86 XLH883 but I didn't care what anyone thought I was happy with it and it was paid off so it was mine.

I didnt know that the honda fury even existed until I read this thread. Looks like one those bikes made by american chopper on discovery channel. Looks pretty cool. I woudnt mind owning one. But my 1st choice will still be a harley. There's something about the harley that makes you feel proud & badass at the same time when you're riding it. The vibration and sound of the vance & hines pipes is just priceless. What I dont like about it is when cleaning it. Its really hard to clean. Any tips would be apppreciated.
They say i dont need to wash it after every weekend ride. Its hard to just wipe off the dirt on the bike without washing it. I tried wiping it off with a damp cloth but scratched the chrome on some areas. So i guess i need to wach it first to avoid that.

Harley Gloss, Meguiars Quick Detailer, or Lemon Pledge and a microfiber towel will work wonders. Wait for the shiny bits to cool down first, as microfiber will melt on hot pipes. Having a good wax "base" makes dirt removal much easier and quick/touch-up detailers maintain the film and shine.
