8k is blue as ****. Anything over 5k starts to really get blue and diminish the light output especially in the housing you're using it in.

 

There are a couple of other threads discussing the same thing. Using a Pathfinder LED with no ballast to install. Output is 2000 lumens and 6000 kelvin temp. The best thing about it is it fits in the small stock 5 3/4" sportster headlight casing.



LED in my stock headlight lens. Need to remove the rubber boot.

Pathfinder is the make, also look for Cyron. Same thing.

Ditch that 8k bulb, and get a 4300k. Anything over 6k looks horrible.

ddmtuning.com, i got their single 55w in 6500k kit for $35 a few years ago and have not had a single issue, plus they have a lifetime warranty. I mounted my ballast on the front of the frame just above the horn under the steering neck. I'll have to take and post some pics once i figure out my wiring issue related to my handlebars
