Default Progressive 430 shocks on my 48.

Well I decided to change the ride from a bag of hammers to simply astonishing....First I ordered Progressive 430 (Standard) shocks and they were way to soft even after a adjusted the collar all the way down. These should be for 180 LB riders or less.

I live only 40 minutes from Dennis Kirk so I drove up and exchanged them for the Heavy Duty ones. Much better the (Fat Guy) shocks worked out better and I only had to adjust it to the 3rd setting to compensate for my 230 LB ***. Well worth the money !!! Combined with the spring seat this is a whole different bike. These are exactly the same length at 11".

Glad to hear that you found the right combo for you. Just curious, was there a reason that you didn't go with their 440 shock? I understand the 440 comes with a Lifetime Warranty.

Only two reasons the 440's are almost $100 more and I really like the Contrast cut of the 430's.

Sweet, I would love to pick up some new shocks eventually. I'm only 120 lbs, but the stock Iron still rattles around quite a bit!

The HD shocks are the way to go and they are awesome!! As far as I can tell DK has the lowest price too.
