i have a 94 883 sporty the clutch ajustment screw bearing went replaced it and got all the old bearing out put it back together and now have a noise in the primary at idle in neutral thought maybe there was a piece of bearing in there metal specs in oil took it back apart took off primary chain can't find anything in there any ideas before i pull the tranny????

 

You ckecked your primary chain adjustment for proper tension?

 

yuppers i'm gonna put it back together and try again

 

pulled the clutch and engine spocket no signs of anything in there put it all back together still have the noise like something is in there ajusted primary chain need some help here any suggestions

 

Loose compensator nut on front of primary chain sprocket where the shifter is. I had a rattle problem, opened up the primary cover and the nut was just hanging there.
