Inspection cover leaking
Is it possible for the primary cover to pressure up. I've had a leak a month ago and could not find where it was coming from so I changed the primary and shifter and inspection cover gaskets. After 200 miles The leak was back, And after closer inspection the oil would pour out of the inspection cover only after sitting for a half hour or so. I need help. 2008, 1200 low

I have had that leak so many times on my XL50 it's not even funny. I have put new runnber gaskets in there and then they leak after awhile. The dealer sold me an updated cover and gaskets and so far so good. i'm going to install that updates kit on my 08 1200 "C" here soon. The kit is like $25.00 and once you see it you will understand how it's better.

Yeah, but when you have to remove the gasket you will have to clean off the Silicone every time. So far the updated cover and gasket is working great, better than the old silicone rubber one. See the silicone one like to warp under the heat and that is what lets it leak. I have taken out a few of them and they are all sucked in looking in the centers after a few thousand miles and what that does is pulls the edges up more and let the fluid leak out of the cover. There is pressure in the primary. One day I needed to start the bike to test something and we just put the cover on real quick without the gasket and WOW it was about blowing out the cover gaps big time, luckly I did not put the new fliud in yet LOL!
