Default Is this a good bike? What would you offer?

Hi, this is my first post and I'm new to riding. I've completed the MSF course and now that the riding season is winding down I'm looking for my first bike at a good price. I've been looking mostly at Kawasaki Vulcan 900s and Suzuki C50/M50s because most H-Ds I've looked at are out of my price range. I'm trying to stay around $4-5000. I would prefer fuel injection, but it's not a requirement if the deal is right. I came across this bike (http://www.manowarhd.com/new_vehicle...1866157#detail) and I like the looks of it. Can anyone tell me a little bit about this year/model and if it would make a good bike to learn with? What would be a good price to offer a dealer? I was thinking $3300-$3400 out the door? Thanks in advance.

my thoughts:
1. i also prefer injected bikes
2. the dealer is not usually the least expensive option- around here its craigslist. i bought my last 2 bikes from there.
3. should be #1- welcome to the board!! and hopefully soon welcome to the bike
4. the 883 or the 1200 are both good "beginners harleys"- easy to ride and not as heavy as the big twins.
5, to get an injected bike for $5k, i think that you would be looking at a higher mileage bike- not a big deal, but you have to check those out more carefully

My bike was picked up for 2500.00 , and it's an 02. The price the dealer is asking is about right. Mine being an 02, is not F.I., but I have no problems with it. It runs great. There are many H.D.'s out there within your price range so look around. If you buy a rice grinder now in that price range, you'll kick yourself later. ( IMHO )

I saw at least 8 bikes for sale on my ride yesterday and most were Sporty's. It's a buyer's market right now, you should be able to find a really good deal this time of year.

Default Not a bad deal ......but

A couple years back that would have been a steal. In todays market you can get some crazy good deals. Add $ 1000 to your kitty and you can get 08/ 09 LOW mile 1200 sportster, Nightster, custom whatever. Just bought a as new 08
nightster off E-bay for less than $6300. It had less than 2000 miles on the clock. Don't get in a hurry and do not limit yourself to your local market. Checked Craigslist in your area and used bikes there are more expensive than a lot of other areas around the country. Take your time and ENJOY the search, there are deals to be had if you can watch and wait a bit.

There are a lot of good bikes out there... KBB lists yours at $3940. You might want to keep looking though, I stumbled onto a 1993 XLH1200 with only 7K miles on it for under $2K while visiting family in the midwest. It gets delivered on the 13th.
