Intake Popping/Backfire
Quick summery of bike. I got my 2001 sportster from my dad in maryland a few weeks ago, i live in florida... bike sat for a long time so i changed oil, trans, plugs, air filter, new battery, carb completely cleaned, the works... bike has SE pipes, SE hi flow intake, stage 1 jets...
Bike runs great and runs very strong, but every once in awhile it will have a slight pop or backfire from the intake and a slight lose of power for a split second and instantly go away and be fine...bike is always warmed up before i hit the road also...
What could this be? intake leak, elevation change, jetting? anyone have this problem and or know how to straighten it out, i am very capable of working on my own vehicles and don't want to pay 20 a hour for diagnostics from the dealer, if someone could point me in the right direction it would be GREATLY appreciated...
