Default Pipe help please

i have an 05 harley sporty 1200c, it has the se eagle pipes on it. i want to go louder. the question is if i put new pipes on something close to drag pipes, but i dont want to loose any power, is rejetting the carb goin 2 stop the power loss. ps im stuck with a 3 warr. from the stealer. any suggestions??

imo, short shots sound great, look great and my bike runs much better than stock (more power, not less). running a tfi techlusion contoller on my injected bike. you would likely be able to just adjust your carb's rich/lean jet.

around $300... thx- have added a front end stiffener (superbrace). actually looks really good and it keeps away the "freeway snakes".

I just got the V&H short shots and its very loud. Stock pipes are not loud at all.

I have SE II mufflers on my 1200C. I changed my baffles to thunder city monster baffles. It's not really much louder, but it has a deeper rumbling sound and all the power. I really like it. I had my baffles within 2 days for $129. Listen to some pipes at sportster monster baffles on youtube. I think you will like it.

Have you changed the air cleaner or is it stock? Changing the pipes is easy to do. Re-jetting is a little more complicated but you can do it.
