Thanks. They're all aluminum. I make them exactly the same way I make circle track steering tie rods except with 1/2" instead of tapered rod ends.

They take a serious amount of abuse on the track so I was rather confident they'd hold up just fine.

mreed, would you consider making a set of your struts for a guy like me that doesn't have a super whiz-bang set of tools? I'm recovering from hand surgery (I tore a tendon in my dominant right hand) so I'm mostly one-handed for the time being; I had my 10-year old help me change out the throttle cable recently and he did most of the work! Many thanks!

Yeah...they're a little spendy though. I'll try to come up with a less expensive way to make them.
