Oh yeah...that's definitely much cooler! But makes it a bit more difficult to go back to shocks if you decide rigid is not for you.

I think thats the one thing I like with the direction I'm going with my bike, If I ever wanted to go back to the stock look, I could. I bought a springer seat along with that easy to install mount so if I ever want to go on long trips I could always just put the old seat back on.

No it is not. Given identical physical dimensions, solid rod is stronger. Per weight, hollow is stronger.

fair enough.

i still wouldn't buy one built of solid rod. its not the right material for the job.

Dude! cmone.. Put one of these in a vise and beat it with a sledge hammer to try to break off one of those eyelets.. I guarantee you that rod is going to keep bending in circles until the rod or the eyelet itself actually breaks... Leaving the weld intact...... Well ok if I welded them they would...LOL..

I just bought some of the ebay specials.. I love the mreed ones, seriously those are awesome Mike! but sadly im on a real tight budget now..
