Pegs to Boards

I have just bought a 1997 1200 custom that is in showroom condiion with only 12000 mies on it, i want to convert the foot pegs to boards because i broke my ankle badly last year & need to have extra suppoirt.

has anybody done this mod???, will it interfere with the stand, brake,gear lever.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
