Default Price of my Iron

After all the fees from the dealer i have $11,000 . I got a pcmp plan for 3 yrs of service. It cost me $1500. I thnk the price on the bike was $8900. The dealer fees were the rest. I had a $7000 trade in though. Harley did have to replace my first iron at 5000 miles though. It was a 2009. I had so many issues and finally they gave me a brand new 2010. Thats another story.

Just picked up my new 2010 Iron from the dealer yesterday. Had them install Vance & Hines Side Shots (in chrome) with Screamin Eagle stage 1 intake and V&H Fuelpak out of the box. Total with all fees & taxes was around $9500. My first bike.

Wanted shortshots in black but every other bike I see (not just sportsters) has shortshots in black on black. So I decided on the sideshots in chrome. I'm sooo happy I went that route. The chrome pipes on the flat blacked out Iron look HOT.

is it required to do the v&h fuelpak? or can you just do the exhaust and have dealer recalibrate ecu?

Everyone I spoke to said that they would never upgrade an exhaust and intake without using some kind of fuel management system, so I got it all done at the same time. I think he gave me a good price on the package so I figured what the hell.

It's not required though.

hey guys first post! i decided to go to my local dealer today to see how much i can get a 2011 model for. A buddy of mine recently got a job there and was able to get me the 2011 for 7999 otd. i'll be picking it up tuesday. can't wait to ride this thing! i ordered the v&h blackout pipes but the dealer said i needed the race tuner and SE Heavy Breather and that it needed to be dyno tuned. is this true? or can i just put the pipes on by themselves? any help would be appreciated as this is my first bike :O

Some of these prices are nuts. In Feb '09 when the Iron was just showing up on floors I paid $7200 OTD brand new with 3 miles on her.

Can't believe people are paying $10k or more. I'll never pay over MSRP period!

Well to be fair Galvatron, that was most likely before all the hype and HD really knew how popular the bikes would be. But I'm with you...like I said I got mine for $7,400 OTD in August.

And reflux, many people like myself are just running pipes without anything else. You'll be fine if you're just doing pipes, but if you add a larger A/C then you'll need to remap.
