As all of you know this is my second sportster in a yr. I had a 2009 Iron and now Harley gave me a 2010 Iron. What i want to know is how many of you have had to take your sporty in during your warranty period to have the shift shaft seal repaired. My 2009 done it at 400 miles and now my 2010 has done the same thing at 2000 miles! UGH! I just dont get these Bikes and why they have trouble this early period. Im still Die Hard Harley but dang im really getting tired of screamin Harley is great and then some one comes to look at my new bike and they see oil leaking. Of course they assume Harleys are just like they used to be and you have to put a towel under them at night!!

 

Yup. Had the same issue on my '09 Iron before 5k miles. My dealer fixed it under warranty, no problem.
