You can achieve an orange look if you add a few more layers. This was only 2 coats.

Didn't expect to get all these positive responses...thanks, everyone!

I'm also aware that this may not be legal. (pretty sure it's illegal) But who cares? haha

Anyone wanting to try this, it's very simple - also easy to remove. If you do it and are unhappy with the results, some lacquer thinner or a razor blade will take it right off.

Streetfighter, did you spray the inside or outside of the lense? I would think inside to prevent chipping/pitting

I think it looks great! It looks like the old fog lights people used to use. But the question of whether the LEO's will like it or not is the real question.

Found this article on yellow headlights. The tester used actual yellow bulbs. He also stated that yellow lights are illegal to use in the states.

If it hasn't reduced intensity then the yellow should stand out.

I sprayed the outside, actually. I did not wanna disassemble the light. Also, anyone that is familiar with candy or transparent paints - trying to spray the inside may work against you where as the transparencey of this paints works in layers - the more layers, the darker the effect. I sprayed 2 coats overlapping 50%, to get a uniform color. If you aren't careful, you may get dark/light spots and/or tiger stripes. Spraying the inside may help in durability, but your overall appearance may suffer.

They sell actually yellow headlight tint online and at some import racing shops locally. It's more expensive and I actually think what I used helps emit light better and is MORE durable. I rode to work this morning in the dark - visibility is PERFECT.
