I agree with the majority. Remember, it's 2000$ right now. That puppy will probably jump up by hundreds at the last minute - definitely not worth it.
The close up pictures really tell the story, but there's no telling how much more you will have to do when you start digging more into it. I think the rule of thumb is to always expect more problems as you start to dig deeper into it.

I'm thinking no, but I don't have the mechanical aptitude time or patience for a project bike.If you do, have at it.It would also make a difference if you could see and ride it. It very well could be an ugly bike that runs great or a steaming pile of crap you'd never know without riding it.I Know one thing that yellow paint would have to go.

Man .... where was that stored ? In a garage ? I dont have a garage and just bought a "cycle shelter" to put the bike in when Im not riding it ... Im in NC the winters arent that bad ... but damn .. I dont want my new baby to look like that ... ofcourse .. I already have a shed full of ******* chrome cleaner ....
