Default Installed drag bar on the Nightster, brake banjo question...

Did a ton of searching and cant find the pic I am looking for. I know many mention loosening the brake banjo bolt and changing the direction of the line to avoid a new line or having to remove fully and then bleed the front brake. I am not against bleeding the front but am curious about where the line ends up. With the portion of the bracket not allowing the line to be moved towards the front it must go towards the tank.

On mine the line runs to towards the tank and has a pretty good curve in it, not enough to cause a problem but it does lightl touch the tank with bars turned to the right. I came across pics that ranged from running the line over and behind the bars to what looks like swapping to the other side of the banjo itself.

Looking for pics of the banjo and line, thanks to all...

I ran my brake line exactly like you have yours for around 5000 miles. It did just fine for me. I now switch between 14" apes and clubman bars, so I switched the brake line out for a longer one for the apes.

Thanks for the info, I did a 550 mile ride this past Tuesday hence the change. While drag bars may not seem like a good option for long riding I need to stretch out and lean a little more into the wind. I'll give this a shot and see what happens. I am hoping to avoid a windshield but it may be inevitable for loooong days

Yeah I went on one long weekend ride, from Indianapolis to Niagara Falls and back, with the drag bars and no windshield and had to go see my doctor because I could barely move my neck. I had some damage to the soft tissue that connects to my spine. So I got a better seat, taller bars and a windshield that I swap on for long rides which is about 50% of the miles I ride. I was able to ride 650 miles in a day no problem this past Million Mile Monday.

I am pretty sure one change isnt going to be the end all, but I do know that I ended up having my arms heavily bent and leaning forward on the way home. My neck did hurt but Im good now, a windshield will probably be added as Im sure it makes a huge difference with fatigue.

thanks again for the recommendations!
