Default Handlebar Advice Sought

I have a 2007 XL50.

I need to increase the pull back in my bars by an inch or two.

The Handlebar Company in New Zealand seems to have a model that will meet my needs...............

The model is called the Sporty Western (#103) . It doesn't look as if I will have to change anything but the cables and wiring.

Here are my questions/concerns:

1.) Has anyone had any eperience with this company?
2.) Do you know any reason these would not work ?
3.) What other cost can I expect except for the bars and cables?

I was thinking about the purchasing the HD diamondback cables.

Is there a better option for a similar looking cables and brake lines?

I will need to extend the wiring that connects to the switches. Any recommendations on how to get that done? Suppliers?

Any and all help would be appreciated.

When I got my XL50 it already had the HD chrome 4" curve risrers on it and it put the stock bars back nice. I'm 5'8" so i don't have long arms. I now have 28" 15 degree drag bars on them and it's still not too bad of a reach. I have been thinking about getting a stock set of risers to bring my bars lower for that mean look, but have yet to do so. The only bad part of the curve risers it is makes the gauges stand stight up, so I relocated them to on top of the eyebrow and now they look great! The HD risers are like $120.00 from the HD dealer.

I bought my XL 50 new and it came with 2 inch risers.

I tried the 4 inch risers and had the same problem with the guages.

I don't undrstand what you mean by.........

"relocated them to on top of the eyebrow"

Do you have any PICS of the guage set up?

I don't have pix of my set up, but other guys on here did the same mod and have pix they just used a bit longer spacer. All I did was take the guages off and then tighten up the bar clamp, then remove one of the eyebrow bolts then went to Lowes and got the same pitch bolts about 1, 3/4 longer and 1.5" zink spacer and a few wsshers and then removed the other eyebrow bolt, the headlight and eyebrow will drop so be ready, they are bolted together. Now this is where another person helps. Place the eyebrow and headlight back over the bolt holes then hold the guages over them and slide the spcerer over the holes then install the new longer bolts and a washer under the spacer and on top, DONE and looks 100 time better and cost about $6.00 and takes less than an hour. This mod ever look great with the stock risers.

magnum Sterling chromite II's are the nicest cables around. I can get them for you as well as anything else you may need. PM me please.
