You know, I'm starting to think the same thing. I'm dragging exhaust now as it is. Of course, by the time I actually make my mind up, all the exhausts will be gone.

that's a sweet deal for a good exhaust...at least i've read good reviews of bub...

haven't changed out the exhaust yet
you didn't mention which model you've got...i like the stock exhaust in the nightster/48 with the turned-out mufflers...

I have a 2010 883L. The stock pipes sound like 2 old guys farting.
I've listened to a sound clip of the Bub 2into1's on a dyna, deep rumble
but not ear shattering. That's what I'm hoping for although I'm sure the 883
wont sound as deep as the bigger engine.

I was on another forum and saw a couple of guys that had this pipe and got it from this exact same sale and they both had major reversion problems around 2500 rpm. Most 2 into 1s will have a slight dip in torque around there but these both had huge dips. They both ended up modifying the baffle (both did lollipops) and it eliminated a good chunk of the huge power dip at 2500 rpm. I'm pretty sure this may be one of the reasons bub discontinued this pipe.

Mind letting us know what forum? I've had this pipe (rinehart version) on my bike for 5 months or so, the lean angle is better than stock, but not as good as some drags.

I've wondered why it is being sold at such a low price, but I don't think
it's because it's discontinued. The exact pipe and description is still shown
on BUB's website, with a price of $650.00.

I guess I'll see if I get the 2500 rpm dip when I get it installed. At a price
this good, if need be, I'll screw in a lollipop, hang a bell on it, insert a tampon in it, etc.,
whatever it takes to make it work.

Hey I agree with you totally. Way too good not to give it a try. If they still have them available when I get done with classes today I am going to pick 1 or 2 up myself. I am running the V&H competition series 2 into 1 which is also known for a big low end dip from reversion.

And to the other poster. It was on the XL forum. This pipe is completely different than the old Rinehart "Bub" 2 into 1.That pipe was designed by Rinehart and made to their specs by Bub where this pipe is solely designed by Bub. Rinehart has since left Bub's factory and now has their own. The old Rinehart is a very quality pipe that unfortunately has also been discontinued. I have talked to some representatives from Rinehart and they are due for a new 2 into 1 sometime soon.

I was actually able to find the link to both reversion problem threads.

According to the DK site, there are only two sets left. Looks like I'll have to pass on them since toy money isn't available until next week.

Dennis also has the same design with a 2 into 2 for the sportster on sale.
