Spitfire windshield?
Anyone used a Spitfire Slipstream windshield on their bike? http://cgi.ebay.ca/SPORTSTER-DYNA-SO...#ht_755wt_1139
The price seems right and I like the sleeker look, but if the components are cheap quality or if the wind protection is next to nil, I don't want to bother spending the money at all.

The reputation is that they hurt the handling of a bike, mostly due to headshake caused by turbulence around the shield. Since the shield is attached to the handlebars, any turbulence will shake the bars (and thus, the front end as well). They also weight the bars, creating heavier steering feel at speed. Do these things always happen? No, but they happen often enough that I wouldn't even consider a handlebar mounted shield. Go with a frame mounted shield. While they have some issues, too (common with bar mounted shields), they don't hurt the handling as much. The issue that both have are due to there not being any air dam at the bottom, so they create a wind tunnel of upward flowing air, which tends to cause the rider's head to bobble around. Again, there may possibly be some that don't do it, but the vast majority do, and the bigger the shield, the bigger the problem.
