Shorter pegs. Anti-pants-leg snag. These guys do great work. There's also a set-screw design. A diamond plate version is due out in a few days or so:

I don't suppose the OP found a mid control slightly forward did they? Bummer, I was looking last year for one as well. I may order the reduced reach controls to see how they feel compared to just my forwards. Like the pegs from the post above.

Harley now makes a reduced reach kit for forward controls....first you have to put on forwards then the reduced reach kit so it is pricey. Brings the forwards rearward a little more than 2 inches which positions it a few inches forward of the stock mids, if that makes sense. I wound up sticking with mids, changing to mini floorboards, a longer shift peg, larger brake pad and the adjustable highway peg kit and pegs.

Couple of choices - HD offers a "Reduced reach" forward control set- # 50700010
Chainsickle mid-forwards - #4-020
Semi Forward Foot Controls for Sportsters '86 and '03
Standard shift pattern. These controls place your feet in between the stock mid position and forward controls.

I ordered the reduced reach forwards from my local dealer. Should be in on Wednesday he said. If I don't like it, it will be up for sale soon for anyone interested.

Mine are up for sale in the Sportster section. I might fiddle with them more this weekend, and see if I can get use to them a bit more.
