Default Cut speedometer cable on 97', can I get a new plug?

So the guy I got the bike from says, "ya I took the speedo off and tucked all the cables up under the tank, so all you have to do is lift the tank and plug it back in"..

ya right.. He cut the main cable housing plug right off..?? is there any way I can find a new cable housing or that part of the wire harness?

Harley should carry the housing to plug it back in and the pin ends to slide in to the housing. but, before that you'll need to know if he cut so much wire off that, you may have to but end connect some wire to lengthen first.

Yes they are too short.. The thing that sucks is most of the wires turn to black after the plug, on the speedo side. So I dont know where all the colored wires go..

The speedo itself only has the thicker 3-wire cable and an orange/white white/green and one black that come from the housing.. the rest are for the lights on the bracket?

oh yeah just to add: the wires were not sticking out like this when I got it.. They were tucked up beneath the tank. I took the tank off last night and discovered it, then put the tank back on this morning to ride..

I got the speedo working by splicing the right wires. I havent messed with getting the light bar to work but I am happy I got the speedo on.. Then Found out that the guy I got the bike from lied about the mileage, big surprise.. He said there was 17K on it and there was 21590 when he took the speedo off. I hate when ppl lie when selling stuff.

If you want to get a new plug, plug and pinds might cost you $10 from any of the online dealerships.
