Default Hey all you handlebar inverters...

Last night I tried to invert my handlebars and came across a problem. There are grooves bent in along the bottom of the bar to accommodate cables and wires to pass under the clamp. Once the bar is flipped, the grooves are on the top of the br and are now useless. The wires have no space to pass under the clamp. How did you guys do it?

Alot of people drill holes and run the wires internally.

Internal wiring, or use a dremmel to route out a small groove in your controls for your wires to pass through.

Small price to pay for such a bad-*** look, right? I actually prefer this look over my clip-ons from the front and side. You could always go the route I took and do absolutely nothing. I would NOT recommend it, but what I did was I kept the bottom of the controls LOOSE to let the wires come through. The controls are held on with only 2 torx bolts, instead of 4. BAD IDEA! lol

the less destructive but most consuming idea is to remove all the internal cable retainers in the control housing and reroute the cables inside the housing so they come through the front.. I had it like that for a few months... but then decided to route the cables internally... sorry.. no pics...

Don't Dermel! Cut the wire ties inside the control housing and just route them on top, took me 5 minutes to route them. Its a really small wire tie.

Simmy is right. He just did this so I'd go with what he said. My bars don't have dimples, so I had to go another route.
