Proved the Sportster is not a girls bike

A few years ago I had a guy that I worked that was a "big bad" H-D guy, road a touring bike 365. I used to commute on a KLR650, 365, unless snow or ice on the road also. He use to give me crap about when will I get rid of that "girls" bike, my come back was I see way more girls on H-D then I do on KLR's, he never gave me a hard time after that. We had 3 girls that ride bikes in the summer and they all rode H-D's.

I always wanted a Harley..... just 'cos!
But I don't need an armoured armchair thanks - I need a powerhouse with a lack of metal to slow it down, and my 1200 Nightster is just that!
She's a bit sloppy round fast bends (80s), and skittish at speed on white lines, and sparks a lot when the exhaust grounds out (lol), but keeps me grinning every moment I'm in the saddle.
This is no 'girl's bike' - unlike some of the big Hogs, with comfy seats, windscreens, music,.... oh lazy slow movement!!

Ladies and Gents, If you love what you ride why would you care what ppl say about your ride?
I've been riding big twins for years, I had an 06 roadking, 06 vrod, 2010 muscle, 2003 Heritage springer. They were all great bikes (Harleys of course).
So far my favorite to ride is my 2011 nightster. It's light, nimble and just plain
fun to ride.
Ride what you have and dont think about what ppl say,
as long as YOU love it.

Three of the eight H-D's I've owned since my first one in 1982 have been Sportsters, including my current ride.
Interestingly, the vast majority of the jerks that I've encountered in that 29 year period that used the "girl's bike" comment to my face... DIDN'T EVEN OWN A FREAKING MOTORCYCLE!
I could care less what someone else thinks of my ride. It's paid for, I like it and that's all that matters to me.
BTW, I'm 62 years old. But I am very immature for my age.
