thanks all. i knew 2 stay off the front break the problem was right were i turned in, the gravel was wased out. it was like jumping off a curb into the damn rut. the rut was bout the size of the tire. lol it was so hard to pick it back up on a gravel hill.

Right on, delane. A long time ago, back in the '70's, I could ride my
NORTON COMMANDO thru our beautiful mountains, parkways, Dragon, well you get the idea, all day long at blistering speeds & never use the rear brake. Could haul it down from 100 mph, front brake only & front tire screaming to a complete stop. Didn't know better but unreal what that Norton could do. No bike for 30 years so I was very surprised when my new Davidson dumped me on my first ride using front brake only at 2 or maybe 3 MPH. I actually thought I was stopped, going so slow. Basically layed over, no skid or damage. 2,000 miles later, I will not engage the front unless I'm on the back for sure. It don't have to be gravel either. Yes, lesson learned.

Default Dropped & survived.

Love it when dues are low. Way to join the not so exclusive, "dropped the bike" club. You passed that initiation with flying colors.

Important thing is that your ok - a few bucks to fix is better than a few weeks with road rash.

My driveway is loose pea gravel and i do show it respect when turning in. I feel some slide but i just take it easy. I do get the urge to get on the throttle like i would when i rode my dirt bike years ago. If that thing wasn't sliding it wasn't being ridden . Glad your ok.
