Default changing pads on an 01 sporty

well, the search resulted in nothing having to do with sportys. and im not sure if the other harleys use the same bolts, so im putting this question out in the "sporty" section.

what size bolts hold the brake pads in? i know the caliper bolts are 10mm 12 sockets. but the smaller ones (that hold the pads in place, according to the directions with the pads) i thought were 7mm 12 point, but they seem to just hold, but then slip. i tried 1/4" 12 point, and it's too small. 6mm 12 point is too small also. can someone point me in the right direction before i strip the bolts [sm=chairshot.gif][sm=dontgetit.gif][sm=headbang.gif]

really? i thought it was too small...seemed like i had to force it on where the 10mm caliper bolts slide on with no problem. and HD would use standard size for smaller bolts & metric for the caliper bolts? im so confused...i have so much to learn.
